Growing up, there was always a piano within arm's length. My earliest musical memory would be trying to reproduce on the keyboard a mandolin piece I had heard in school assembly.

The usual progression follows: school band, university band, trying to get a deal, going our separate ways. I appeared on 'Surprise Surprise', playing and singing in a variety of exotic locations, but, despite this, have continued to make a living in London as a pianist and vocalist, performing other people's songs. For the last ten years I have been fortunate to work as resident Musical Director at the Friern Manor Country House Hotel, near Brentwood in Essex.
